Your Playful Journey to Joy and Balance' and discover seven simple, joy-filled practices you can start today—no matter where in the world you are.

"There's a resilient explorer within you—she's just tired right now. And that's okay. You don't need fixing. You need space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with who you are beyond your role in the field."

I'm curious

When was the last time you did something just for the joy of it?

Not for productivity. Not to "optimize" yourself. Just... because it felt good?”

In humanitarian work, we're so used to operating in crisis mode that we forget how to play. But here's what I've learned through my own journey from MSF logistics to outdoor facilitation: play isn't frivolous. It's how we heal. It's how we reconnect with ourselves when everything else feels too heavy.

These practices are designed for women like us—globally mobile, always between something and something else, craving connection but exhausted by performance. They work whether you're in Brussels or Kabul, whether you have an hour or five minutes, whether you're an outdoor enthusiast or someone who's just starting to explore what nature connection means.

So you don’t need to have prior experience to get started - the only thing you need, you already have!

Can I Really Reconnect and Recharge With One Guide?

I get it. You've probably tried other wellness resources that felt disconnected from your reality

Meditation apps that assume you have a quiet space and a routine. Self-care advice that doesn't account for living out of a suitcase. Practices that work great... until you're back in the field.”

This guide is different because it comes from someone who's lived your life. I've coordinated construction projects in conflict zones. I've managed teams under pressure. I've come home feeling untethered and wondered how to reintegrate into "normal" life.

And here's the most important part: these aren't rigid rules. They're invitations. Take what resonates, adapt what doesn't, leave what isn't serving you right now. This is your journey—I'm just offering some playful companions along the way.

Every practice in this guide has been tested in real humanitarian contexts

—by me and by other aid workers. The activities adapt to your circumstances. Indoor versions for when you're in limited spaces. Outdoor versions for when you have access to nature. Virtual options for when you're geographically scattered but crave connection.”

"See what happens when you give yourself permission to try something different. Start with just one practice. See how it feels. Notice what comes up for you."
